Our Project 2024

In 2023, we're revolutionizing cancer therapy with microbiome engineering! Our project targets tumor-specific bacteria to deliver precision treatment and combat tumor growth.

What?

We're developing a new colorectal cancer treatment that targets bacteria found exclusively within tumors. Our approach delivers potent toxins directly to the tumor site, selectively destroying cancer cells.

Why?

Traditional cancer therapies can be harsh and don't always fully eliminate tumors. Our bacteria-targeting approach aims to provide a more precise, less toxic treatment with improved outcomes for colorectal cancer patients.

How?

We identify bacteria unique to colorectal tumors and design antibodies that bind specifically to them. Using ADEPT, we link these antibodies to a potent toxin. This creates a targeted weapon that selectively destroys cancer cells within the tumor environment.
